Community Leadership

Reading Makes a Difference

Community Leadershiop Students work with children during the Reading Makes a Difference programWelcome!

A collaborative project with the UNH Community Leadership Program,  elementary/ middle/ high school students, and other community members to share learning from stories, poems and books that teach us how to lead successful lives and how to shape our world for a positive future

Project Goals:

  • to encourage reading among  students
  •  to create a reading resource list of stories, poems and  books that invite readers to consider what it means to be a leader and to successfully face the challenges of life
  • To provide a place for students to see their work “in print” and to be recognized for their reading and thinking
  • To develop connections between young students, UNH, and other community members to further student aspirations for higher education and create civic dialogue
